The development and progress of our society have set high standards for intellectual people of the new age. As educators, we should continuously change and convent our education and teaching concept to adapt to the new situation. We should fully develop students' ability of Chinese and create fitting conditions to explore their intelligence. Therefore, the students can be fully qualified. Meanwhile, students can be taught how to be a useful man in the world, which is also one of our educational goals. So in order to promote Chinese teaching and learning reform, we must value listening, speaking as well as reading and writing.Chinese listening and speaking ability is an important part of Chinese teaching. It is an important content of way of realizing the conversion from education for test to education for quality. This article analyzes the importance that listening and speaking in Chinese teaching not only plays an important role in training the ability to read and improving the students' intelligence and the way of thinking, but it also plays an active and encouraging part in training the students' quality and achieving the goal of education. Through the analysis, I come to a conclusion that training the students' ability to listen and speak accord with the direction of the reform of Chinese teaching. Meanwhile, with the help of analyzing the structure of the students' psychology when they are listening in class, in view of the present situation of Chinese teaching in our country, I give a full exposition on how to teaching the students in class, using the method of listening and speaking. In this way, I know that listening and students' ability in many ways. So I conclude that listening and speaking in Chinese teaching plays a breakthrough role in the reform of Chinese teaching.
