College entrance examination is still the main path to the higher education due to the present Chinese educational system. It is incumbent on teaching staff to study the mentality of junior student (candidates for college entrance examination) and improve their quality. Nowadays the whole society is paying close attention to the mental health of students, it was lots of research for mental anxiety of junior students that come forth, but there is also a shortage of the research which focuses on students' anxiety combined with life events, ways of coping and achievement motivation as well. This research consults correlative theories and literature search, it is discovered that the difference of junior students' anxiety in Dalian has existed in different high school through the questionnaire on the factors above. The occurrence of anxiety of junior students in related with not only their life events and coping style but also the competitive factors of achievement motivation . This thesis will open up a discussion on this point and make correlative study about the relationship between achievement motivation and life events, coping style, sex and schools, so that it can research and discuss the influence factors of anxiety much more profoundly in different points of view, at the same time it also provide the basis for the theories and practice of studying mental health education for youths.
