| School-Based Curriculum Development (SBCD) originated from western developed countries in 1960s. Inspired by the shortcomings in the development of national curriculum, SBCD aims to realize a democratic policy in curriculum management.Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Senior High School was published in April 2003. The course of History of Mathematics (HM) is adopted into mathematics curriculum. The reasons why we talk about HM course under school-based curriculum are as follows: Firstly, no strict standard about HM is set. Secondly, HM covers a wide range of knowledge that requires HM course to be student-oriented. Thirdly, the variety teaching methods are allowed in HM course. Fourthly, the HM curriculum adopts flexible evaluation standard.The implement of HM curriculum puts more emphasis on creation. Considering the individuality of students, each school should adjust the set national curriculum. Despite the differences among schools, they do bear some common principles in practice: priority; adaptability; acceptance and truth-standing.This paper adopts experimental research on the implement of the course of HM and afterwards analyzes the process of it We hope that the research can be an example for other schools. Furthermore, the research on curriculum of HM is a new topic in foundation education that thus requires more attention and discussion both in theory and teaching practice. |
