Chemistry is an essential curriculum in the Technical Secondary School of engineering. Its characteristic is cultivating students' practice ability and promoting the improvement of student's creative thought on the basis of experiments. According to the facts of the technical secondary school students and chemistry teaching, this paper combined with the characteristic of chemistry curriculum probes into how to realize the organic integration of traditional teaching means and modern teachings means, and apply multi-media technique to teaching timely, reasonably and properly in the chemistry classroom teaching of the Technical Secondary School.In terms of the Constructivism Learning Theory and following the guide idea of "pay equal attention to learning and teaching", the paper adopts the methods such as informal experiments, questionnaire, interview and observation to study the cut-in point, principle and time of applying multi-media technique in chemistry teaching. The research has come to a conclusion: 1. According to characteristic of teaching target and object, the way of integrating multi-media technique with traditional teaching means timely, reasonably and flexibly and exerting each advantage supplement each other to achieve supplement each other would arouse the enthusiasm for study of students on chemistry lessons. 2. The application of multi-media technique can break through difficulty that couldn't be settled or solved drastically by traditional teaching so that students have a further knowledge of the chemistry. 3. The organic integration of multi-media technique and traditional teaching means can optimize the chemistry teaching effect. 4. The timely application of multi-media technique in the chemistry classroom teaching of the Technical Secondary School shows in whether it can grasp the proper time, opportunity, time limit, time effect and actual effect according to characteristic of teaching target and object and on the principle of the chemistry's science and teaching law.
