English is an essential curriculum in the Liberal Arts Secondary School. Its characteristic is based on phonetic symbol,expressions, sentences ,passage and grammar knowledge, cultivating students'hearing, speaking,reading,writing and translating ability. According to the facts of the liberal secondary school students and English teaching, this paper combined with the English curriculum probes into how to realize the organic integration of traditional teaching means and modern teachings means, and apply multi-media technique to teaching exactly in the English classroom teaching of the liberal Secondary School.In terms of the Constructivism Learning Theory and following the guide idea of "pay equal attention to learning and teaching", the paper adopts the methods such as informal experiments, observation and interview, questionnaire, to study the cut-in point, principle and time of applying multi-media technique in English teaching. The research has come to a conclusion: 1. According to characteristic of teaching target and object, the way of integrating multi-media technique with traditional teaching means timely, reasonably and flexibly and exerting each advantage supplement each other to achieve supplement each other would arouse the enthusiasm for study of students on English lessons. 2. The application of multi-media technique can break through difficulty that couldn't be settled or solved drastically by traditional teaching so that students have a further knowledge of the English. 3. The organic integration of multi-media technique and traditional teaching means can optimize the English teaching effect. 4. The exactly application of multi-media technique in the English classroom teaching of the Technical Secondary School shows in whether it can grasp the proper content, the appropriate measure of information, time limit, time effect and actual effect according to the English teaching target and object and on the principle of the English teaching law.
