With the new century coming, most counties proceed to reform the curriculum. People have already realized that the curriculum must be changed constantly along with the social development. The technological development put forward the higher request to people. The knowledge-based economy coming with international competition intensely, request people continuously to creative. Under the world curriculum reform background, our country also proceeds an astounding curriculum reformation. This times the government and people all pay attention to the curriculum reform. It has been the key problem that our country must face at present and relate to the students' growth, the development of the education, even national strength.The curriculum management is an important problem for involving curriculum reform overall situation. Establishing scientific reasonable curriculum management mechanism is an indispensable part of the constitute for curriculum reform and a necessary guarantee to promote the curriculum of other aspects. Therefore, it is an urgent and realistic lesson to enhance the curriculum management study, to explore the curriculum management mode that suits our country.The common senior high school curriculum management of the United States contains many of special characteristics. The common senior high school experiences more than 100 years and still has the prosperous vitality. It became own special features in the aspects of curriculum establishing, organized form etc. and accumulated abundant experience in the curriculum management. This thesis makes use of describing method, individual cases analyzing method, factor analyzing method and so on researching the curriculum of the common senior high school of the United States. Ihope to draw lessons for the curriculum management mechanism of our country.This thesis consists of seven parts. In preface, I briefly introduce the investigative meaning, purpose, and method of this thesis, and define to the basic concept. Then I study the curriculum management system of the common senior high school in the United States, looking back the process of its history evolution, describing its present state, analyzing its characteristics. Third, I discuss the system of America curriculum management from three layer classes that are the state curriculum management, local district curriculum management, the school curriculum management. It makes us understand the development of American curriculum management from the whole; I clarify the basic curriculum principle and method. Finally, I draw lessons from the common senior high school of American curriculum management and give the enlightenment for China.
