The elementary education reform is now in the ascendant and the management of curriculum is becoming more and more important in primary and middle schools. Due to not only the condition of our country, but also the factors for the schools to survive, such reform must be done. As one of the middle schools, Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute is also aware of the emergency of the reform. However, the most pressing matter of this moment is the reform of management of curriculum. In this essay, I star with the present situation of the management of curriculum of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute, then find out the problems in it and pose some feasible solutions.First, I describe the past and present situation of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute. Seeking the basis for the reform of management of curriculum by tracing back to the history of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute and its training aims.Second, pick out the most difficult part of the management of curriculum of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute---the problems in the system of management of curriculum and the conflicts in the structure of curriculum. I strictly analyze the reasons why these two problems exist and their influences on the whole management of curriculum.Third, after these two above steps, I pose that it is significant to modernize the concepts of management. With the aid of sociology and psychology, these concepts can be enriched and becomes more reasonable.Fourth, the management of curriculum of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute should tally with the particularity of its own curriculum. So, the management should also have its distinguishing features. If the management of school-based curriculum is done successfully, the reform of management of curriculum of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute can be done much more easily.After deliberate research, the key point in the management of curriculum of Secondary Art School Attached to Nanjing Arts Institute is to focus on the system of management of curriculum. Moreover, under the present college entrance examination system, it is easier to reform the structure of curriculum. However, this reform is not simple at all, the profit of the students and the schools and the requirement of the society must be concerned.
