To A Star's Evolution, From The Focus

At present, enlarging the scale of high school, especially high-quality high school, has become an important choice which can promote the healthy development of compulsory education and higher education.Evaluating of Jiangsu Province Key High school, from 1996 to 2002, promoted 312 key high schools, 98 of which have passed the province -level grading of National Model High School.The evaluation of high school has been carried out in JiangSu Province universally since October, 2003. The star grading of high school is a testing for grading high school. Testing standard is divided into 5 grades. One-star is the basic level and five-star is the highest level. After finishing the work that prompts star high schools, star schools promotion has been tried out since March ,2003 in JiangSu province. Because three-star high school is an important step, many high schools strive to achieve star high school.From the individual case study of the process of promoting Nanhu senior Middle School to Three-star high school, this article tries to reveal the characteristics.Through investigating, the writer thinks that governmental departments should set up the view of scientific education development, coordinate the relations between compulsory education and high education, between high education and VTE and promote development of education. Schools must make a reasonable plan of development for itself, stick to school-based management, depend on school-based training and teaching research, optimize curriculum structure, run the school with its own characteristics and coordinate the relations in students, teachers and schools.
