Nowadays, the international competitions are becoming fiercer; the scientific technology is changing with each passing day; knowledge-based economy begins to come into being and the trend of economic globalization is going increasingly. If one nation wants to stand erect among countries in the world, it has to make an effort to develop scientific technology. The advancement of scientific technology depends on the cultivation of high-quality talents, namely, the development of education. The prosperity of the nation is closely related with education. The hope for education vitalization rests on teachers, the education of which is the working master of teacher training. The education of teachers is the key to the cultivation and training of teachers. In the background of the transformation from the current traditional normal education to modern teachers education and from traditional normal colleges and universities to comprehensive universities characteristic of modern teachers education, the comprehension reform of normal universities and colleges has become the focus which attracts universities' attention as well as the key point of the development of normal university reform. The demand of the times and the need for reform of teachers education promotes me to study the topic of the comprehension of advanced normal universities in Yunnan.Linking with the current situation of Yunnan economic and social development and with the development demand of the basic education and teachers education reform, based on Theory of Education, Theory of Teachers Education, Theory of District and Theory of Development, this paper systematically explores the problem of comprehension development of advanced normal universities in Yunnan by applying to document method, investigation and comparative study, etc.. This paper is mainly divided into three parts.In the first part, the author briefly reviews and sums up the survey and the current situation of the comprehension development of advanced normal universities and colleges in the developed countries in the world and in China; then the author makes a systematical analysis of the macro background of the comprehension development of advanced normal universities in Yunnan. In the process of "block out -to -open up", comprehensiveuniversities are becoming one backbone of cultivate teachers. In order to meet the challenge from comprehensive universities and to adapt to the demand of economic and social development, the advanced normal universities in other countries start to synthesize themselves, that is, they try to increase their synthesis, research and internationalism with the precondition of preserving normal characteristics. In the new century, comprehension development has become the main content of the reform of the advanced normal universities and colleges in China, which is not only for the challenge of teachers education reform, but also is helpful to break the singleness of course structure in advanced normal universities and colleges, to add applied subjects, to adjust speciality structure and to cultivate more comprehensive talents. According to the present condition of the advanced normal universities in Yunnan, due to the restriction of the provincial economic and social development level, the scale of advanced normal universities and colleges is comparatively small, and the level and of school running is not high; with the less efficiency and low degree of synthesis as well as its irregular development, in order to solve the problem, to synthesize the advanced normal universities is the trend.In the second part, the author comes up with the basic idea of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities in Yunnan. Firstly, the author defines some relevant basic concepts of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities and colleges, and brings forward its basic connotations; secondly, according to the need for the development of Yunnan economy and society and the teachers education, the author puts forward ideas to guide the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities including the ideas of adhering to scientific education, strengthening the exploiture of teacher resource, quality-oriented education and creative education as well as improving teachers' specialized levels; thirdly, the author suggests that in the process of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities and colleges, they must adapt to their own characteristics and the realistic environment around and follow some basic principles: the combination of feasibility and key development, sustainable development, layered development, scientific forecast and programming. What is more, the author points out that the problems that should be noticed in the process of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities.The third part is the core of the whole research. By analyzing the current situation of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities and colleges, combining the demand of teachers education development and the tenet of school running, and following the rules of advanced education, after weighing, arrangement and choice, the author confirms five aspects of content of the comprehension development of the advanced normal universities and colleges in Yunnan among many factors that influence and restrict their development. These five aspects are the synthesis of subject construction, the synthesis of speciality setup, the synthesis of course setup, the synthesis of teachers team construction and the synthesis of talents cultivation. There are definite connotations of these five aspects and the author analyzes the problem and probes the corresponding strategies. Firstly, when the universities are strengthening the basic subjects, they should develop comprehensive subjects, actively and pay more attention to enhancing technological and applied subjects; secondly, universities should set up non-normal specialities to enlarge the kinds of specialities and to extend the service scope of advance normal universities as to increase their ability of social competition; thirdly, universities should reform the maladies of the traditional subject setup, adjust course content and enrich the forms of courses as to make them comprehensive; fourthly, universities should strengthen the construction of teachers team and make the teacher resource, their qualities and structure more reasonable and comprehensive; fifthly, the mode of talents cultivation in the advanced normal universities and colleges in Yunnan should be reformed and comprehended. By analyzing the strategies of the above five aspects of synthesis, the author makes an effort to connect theories to practise, and tries to bring forward some effective strategies of universities and colleges reform as to actively promote the comprehension development in the advanced normal universities and college in Yunnan.Finally, the author sums up the main ideas and makes a conclusion of the features and creative points of this paper; additionally, the author talks about some assumptions of continuing study by combining the deficiencies of this paper.
