Educational practice has been regarded as the main method to promote the development of teaching profession, for it is an important teaching aspect linking theory and practice. To have a profound understanding of educational practice in Sichuan normal universities and colleges and eventually help normal students acquire practical knowledge, this research, based on empirical study by interviewing students from two of such universities and colleges, will review fields of educational practice from a new perspective, and analyze its theoretical foundations, such as students'inspiration, experiences'value, students'knowledge establishment, their introspection into experiences, pan-practice strategies'integration and the like. Problems have been found during the interviews, such as a lack of awareness of educational practice, a shortage of real and stable educational practice bases, simple form and limited time for educational practice, unreasonable arrangement of terms, a lack of basic teaching skills before educational practice, relative lag of their vocational skills training, a lack of education novitiate and study, the formal tendency in trial teaching and microteaching, the poor content and narrow range for educational practice, little guidance from teachers, non-standard criterion in the evaluation of practice, a lack of educational theory's guidance to educational practice and a gap between teachers'capability and requirements from the new age. Therefore, we put forward the reform orientation for educational practice in normal universities and colleges in the future, with aims to improve normal students'awareness of acquiring practical knowledge, develop the full integrated educational practice mode based on the acquisition of the practical knowledge, boost the practical skills and qualities of normal students, found stable educational practice bases, strengthen the establishment of the team of superbvisors and the scientific, standard as well as strict evaluation system, and as last promote the reform of educational practice in Sichuan normal universities and colleges, and provide evidences for further reform.
