Student Teams-cooperative Leaning was started in the United States in 1970s and it had a history of several decades now. However, it was merely for about more than ten years when it was used in China's teaching and educational fields. The theoretical and practical research on the combination of Student Teams-cooperative Learning and history is still in its beginning stages.In the first part, this paper revealed the essential charicteristic of Student Teams-cooperative Leaning, analyzed the present research situation and reflected the problems and insufficient at present research. Based on these, this paper further dissected the necessity of using Student Teams-cooperative Leaning in the course of teaching history from four aspects: question of era on the cooperative humane function of the subject history; the requirement of the aim of history; the needs for the development of children's body and mind and the suitability and eagerness of learning the content of history. According to using the models of Student Teams-cooperative Leaning in and out, combined with the author's, for about ten years, teaching experiences, author of this essay summarized four ordinary methods of Student Teams-cooperative Leaning: Student Teams-Achievement Division; Jigsaw Ⅱ; Lead-in and Discussion Method; Group Investigation. And then in order to embody the operational possibility of the Student Teams-cooperative Leaning in the course of teaching history, author also gives some examples to illustrate them. In the last past, the author raised some countermeasures which were aimed at several problems of Student Teams-cooperative Leaning existed in the course of teaching history. And the author hopes that this paper can not only attract a larger numbers of historical researchers' attention on Student Teams-cooperative Leaning and some cooperative opinions in it but also hope this paper can give some enlightment and reference to the teaching practice of this subject.
