Inquiry learning is a new kind of learning-style which is proposed in the new round course reforming, which emphasizes on change in teaching concept and study method in order to cultivate the ability to get and deal with information, and the ability to explore all the possibilities for the solution of the problem. It is a new kind of attempt to bring capability in innovation and practice. But at now, the study on the Inquiry learning of mathematics with itself characteristic has still been weak and inquiry learning is not put in use enough in real teaching, so it doesn't bring forth its reasonable effect. Through the research of the topic, the thesis wants to establish the theory of mathematics Inquiry learning and seek an effective way to put it into practice in the process of the mathematics teaching.Firstly, the thesis provides a definition of Inquiry Learning and its theoretical foundation. What is called Inquiry Learning is, in all, students take in and experience how the knowledge comes into being by researching independently. And Inquiry Learning of junior mathematics teaching refers to with the help of teachers, students learn mathematics by inquiring. The teaching approach emphasizes proceeding from the experience what the students have had, students can express, question, inquiry, and discuss, so that they can acquire knowledge and use it to solve the problems of their own afford. It can also develop students'abilities of enterprising, emotion and values. At the same time, the search discerns the difference between Inquiry Learning and discovering learning and that between receiving learning and research-like learning, so as to clarify the cognition about Inquiry learning.Secondly, the thesis discusses the theoretical foundation of Inquiry Learning from psychology, philosophy and pedagogy. Next, the thesis classifies and researches Inquiry Learning of junior mathematics context, then proves several ways, such as experimental inquiry, inductive inquiry and deductive inquiry through seeking for the solution strategy. It encourages teachers consciously to train students to solve problems with them during their teaching.The classroom instruction is the main position of school teaching as well as the main position of Inquiry Learning for teachers. The thesis emphasizes to introduce the writer's practice and research about Inquiry Learning in junior mathematics teaching. It also introduces the Inquiry learning approach about guide-inquiry. Through plenty of examples and classes the thesis introduces how to carry out Inquiry Learning and its inquiry principle. It includes four of them: Subjective Inquiry, Democratic Inquiry, Feedback Inquiry and Questioning-Cooperating Inquiry. The thesis also introduces the application of Inquiry Learning, the relationship of Inquiry Learning and Receiving Learning and the common misunderstanding about Inquiry Learning.
