In our country, the basic education curriculum reform has been implemented for many years. One target of the reform is to change the original passive acceptance in learning, advocating students participating in and inquiring actively. Independence, cooperation, inquiry is the main way of the new curriculum learning style, and inquiry is the cornerstone and orientation of new curriculum. Learning-plan teaching mode is proposed through many teachers explore actively in the circumstance. In addition, the full-time obligations teach mathematical courses standard point out that mathematical inquiry object mainly is the content of learning in the classroom. In other words, inquiry activities are mainly carried out in the classrooms. In this paper a survey of students’inquiry under the learning-plan teaching mode in junior middle school is carried out, focusing on classroom inquiry levels, and put forward strategies on how to improve classroom inquiry level.This paper makes the following research:First, the paper introduces some achievement about the learning-plan teaching mode, inquiry and classroom inquiry levels at abroad and home as well as some of the documents related to the research.Second, we study the implementation of learning-plan teaching mode and problems of inquiry by the form of questionnaires and interviews. We find out how the current inquiry level is in our junior middle school mathematics classroom and what the mainstream inquiry level is.Third, according to the survey and the related research, the paper puts forward strategies on how to improve classroom inquiry level from learning plan, cooperation in group, summary and homework.The study is very useful not only in theory but also in practice. Theoretically, the paper enriches the learning-plan teaching mode and the research of inquiry. Practically we can focus on mathematics classroom in order to investigate classroom inquiry levels at present and offer middle school mathematics teachers some guiding under the learning-plan teaching mode.
