Education is essential to the development of a country. In the education of the 21st century, it is necessary for us to concentrate our effort on the quality of individuals. The key to talented individuals exists in their creative spirit and creative capacity. Modern education needs creative education. Cultivating students'creative awareness and creative potential and developing their creativity are both a project of vital and lasting importance and an urgent task on hand. Creative teaching approach is a challenge and a revolution to traditional approach in education.The teaching of reading in the course of Chinese is the major field to apply creative teaching approach. Creative reading teaching approach is referred to as the teaching activity of reading, in which teachers use appropriate teaching methods and strategies creatively to arouse students'motivation for creativity so as to cultivate their creative spirit and capacity for practice. This approach, which gives a full respect to students'personality, stimulates their motivation for creation, brings their creative potential into full play, promotes the development of their creative study behavior, and realizes the turning from passive repetitive study to creative study, and from learning to being able to learn, is on the opposite to traditional instillation ------acceptant reading-teaching approach.Creative reading-teaching approach corresponds to the educational thought of taking individuals as the ultimate, which turns from'supercilious'education into'individual'education. It aims to help students to develop healthy personalities and therefore to become complete individuals with full independence and creativity.
