Science has permeated into all aspects of human's life. The development and the progress of science technology has greatly improved human's life, meanwhile it brings puzzlement to human's survival and development, which is the prospect in the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. University science education, as a vital component of university education system, plays an important role in the function of passing on science knowledge as well as in the significance of improving the humanistic spirit.Based on the necessity of the integration of humanistic education in university science education, the first part of this dissertation elaborates the value of the integration of humanistic education in university science education to make clear the orientation and the significance of the research paper. From the view on two values of university education - the development of human power and the development of humanity and also on the education cost of the education philosophy, the paper also analyzes the reasons, which caused disintegration of humanistic education from university science education.The second part of the dissertation discourses the content of the function of moral ethnic education, of spiritual education and of aesthetic education from the way how to exert the humanistic spirit in the integration of humanistic education in university science education also discourses its significance in university science education and students' self-development. The function of moral ethnic education is the crucial part in university science education because a proper moral value has a positive role in cultivating students a proper science spirit and aesthetic value. Except for the moral ethnics, science spirit also includes suspicion, criticism and courtesy. The proper moral value and science spirit themselves embrace an abundant connotation of esthetics.In the last part of the dissertation, taking science majors in one university as an example, author analyzes the present status of the integration of humanistic education in university education and proposes to design PHS courses in university science education and to permeate the STS education concept in the content of the courses. Author also has an elementary thinking in the methods of the integration of humanistic education in university science education such as to arrange situational teaching processes, to design humanistic teaching methodology and to carry out humanistic education in the scientific experiments teaching.
