In 2002, our country issued the new 《P.E. Curriculum Teaching Guiding Outline of National Colleges and Universities》 , embodying sufficiently the tendency that the P.E. curriculum reform in universities should meet the students' need. Because this 《Outline》is not issued as a mandatory file, but as an instructive one. This outline offer the new requirement on the perspective and target of curriculum, however, there aren't any rules on the sort of specific sports and establishment of curriculum model, this leaves much space to the universities. On the premise of achieving the whole requirement, every university can establish the P.E. curriculum model with features and satisfy the sport need of undergraduates, according to the practical situation of the university and the individual and main need of undergraduates.However, what 《Guiding Outline》 embodies the curriculum target is normal target, not embodies every specific university and special need of undergraduates. This particular need should get by researching and teaching. Combining the individual need direction of guiding got by practice and corporate target direction of guiding in curriculum standard is the main way to establish curriculum.Taking the main need of undergraduates as the breakthrough point, this article analyzes the RE. curriculum reform in our country's university, and compares the difference and relationship between target-oriented and need-oriented of RE. curriculum in university, using these methods as follows: literature, research, interview, logic reasoning and so on. Thus it also discusses the role student needs play in directing the course construction of university P.E. curriculum, (the role covers curriculum target, content, implement, evaluation, resource development and so on), and strategies applied in university P.E. construction aiming at meeting the students'need.In the end, I put forward my own opinion and suggestion on P.E. curriculum reform of our universities, and think that in the process of need-oriented we should deal with these problems as follows: (1) we should deal with the relationship correctly between regular curriculum and irregular, avoiding extremity; (2) when every university design the specific curriculum model, they can reference the nine typical curriculum model of 《P.E. Curriculum Reform in University》.The results of this subject seek the theoretical root and support for the undergraduate need-oriented on establishing P.E. curriculum, and then advance the RE. curriculum reform in university.
