More and more emphasis is focus on people'.s life-long education in the society so it is necessary for teachers to cultivate the abilities of students' self-regulated learning in order to keep up with the development of modern society in all their lives. Self regulated learning ability will make life-long learning possible.This essay deals with the research about cultivating ability in the process of teaching physics in middle school as well as proposes some basics strategies. In the four different types of classes of teaching a new lesson, revision, hands-on and anchor-on activity, the different teaching ways are adopted in the teaching process, such as setting the teaching aims, guiding students to make a revision outline, and setting anchor-on activity in order to cultivate their abilities of self-regulated learning.In the study of this procedure, we set up a preliminary evaluating system for the ability of students' self-regulated learning. On the basis of analyzing teaching effect, we adapt the grades, interest and goal of learning as well as their learning habits and methods as evaluating objects. As a result, the general ability of learning in experimental class is superior to the ordinary class as compared with each other. it is evaluated synthetically in a way that the average grade of such ability in experimental class is superior to that in ordinary class after making a calculation to the three evaluating targets according to their certain proportion.
