Teachers are the key factors in the process of carrying out the curriculum education reform. Teachertraining plays an important role in the development of the educators and is an important means ofimproving their professional abilities. With the development and deepen of the reform of baseeducation, the problems of teachers professional development are becoming more and moreimportant Therefore, the theories and practices study of in-service teachers training are facing withnew challenges and new opportunities.As the training organization and educator, we should develop and innovate the theories and practicesstudy of in-service training of the key teachers to meet with epoch requirement So this thesis choosethe training of key chemistry teachers in middle school in Jiangsu province form 2004 to 2005 as casestudy.The thesis consists of six parts.The first part summarized research background and the meaning and research means.The second part deals with the professional development theories of in-service teachers, whichprovide theoretical foundation for practical research. It consists of the theories of teacherprofessionalization and professional development, teacher's development stage, as well as teacher'slifelong education and further education, and so on.The third part concerns about the important function of in-service training in teacher's professionaldevelopment, teacher training policy and practice, new development of training notion, for revelationabout the different work core and develop trend in different period.In the fourth part, we design new training plan and start exploring practice on the basic investigationof training requirement of the key chemistry teachers in middle school.The fifth part, we make questionnaires to the teachers as soon as the training are finished and sixmonths after the training, also we choose some one carry through case interview ,to find out theeffect of the training.The sixth part mainly constructed the training mode of chemistry key teachers in middle schoolbased on the outcomes of practice study.
