The swift development of the Web-information Technology with multimedia computer, Internet , Virtual Reality as its core has brought strong shock and influence on education, it also offers new opportunities. People begin to realize that Web-information Technology has profound influence on instructional model. Chemistry teachers must confront the situation, comply with the new characteristic of society, and apply positively Web-information technology into innovate chemistry instruction.It has an important significance to apply multimedia technology to chemistry teaching for deepening the reformation of education. A teaching pattern, which is in favor of student' quality education and their innovating ability training, is established.Following the rapid development of the science and technology, the information technique plays an important role in the daily life, study and work, also in the education. Because of the increasing subjects and knowledge, students have to learn more knowledge to catch up with the times. The traditional teaching methods are incapable, apply of the new technique and CAI in the process of teaching can broke the limitation of the traditional teaching method, and complete the task smoothly, and show the process of the variability of the atom and the molecular in the inner matter vividly. It can make the abstract concept become visualized and concrete. It can also make some experiments which need a long time and have danger to showed in front of the students, it can help the students to master them . It can show the process of the complex chemical work and the explosion of the nuclear and the diffraction of the X-ray, then enlarge the view of the students. As the newborn thing, the multi-media assisting high school chemistry teaching became booming in or out of the country.The essay introduces the development background and present conditions of the multimedia technology and the theoretical gist of multimedia technology applied in chemistry teaching. Under the guide of related theories, the essay emphatically discussed the application of computer in high school Chemistry.
