Self—regulated learning is a new style of learning promoted in the new wave of history course in senior high. It is conscious,active learning for the students after the task and aim is shown them. Its charactertics are those of initiative,independence,creativity and coordination. The ability for self—regulated learning is a comprehensive ability manifested in learning activities.This ability,in the course of history learning,should have specific features as follows:good learning motives are maintained;the schedule and rate of progress are rationally arranged;learning methods and strategies are flexibly abopted;a variety of learning resources is reasonably exploited;communicating activities are effectively carried out;a learning plan is realistically made;Moreover;this ability is also shown in the fact that students can regulate and evaluate consciously each step of learning. As the subject of history is strongly humanistic and abstuact,the cultivation of self—regulated learning through five aspects. They are:the eotablishhment of a new teacher—student relationship and a beneficial environment for self—regulated learning,provision of motive and motivation,guidance in learning methods and efficiency elevtion through group work;cultivating awareness of exploration and enforcement in the ability in self—regulated learning.
