This article's main ideas are like this:Firstly, the specific object of study is the art eduction of universities and colleges in Beijing.the author give the conception of art education major in this paper.then, overview revolution of art education in China and abroadand the present situation and the question of art education major in China briefly. The article involves many problems of art education in China, such as the idea of art education, curriculum structure, teaching staff structures, technical application and the art education's social role orientation. By questionnaire survey and interview, combined with the author's experience of studing "art education" in university and thinking after studing multiple-discipline.the concept of "art education" definitely------"art education" is akind of normal education, it's content is art, education and interrelated content, it's aim is cultivating qualified art teacher and offer service for the cause of art education, this is the think by analysing from many points of view, such as pedagogy, psychology, anthropology, artistics, philosophy, religion, ethics, economy and science technology. And base on the academic means in the monograph of Professor Wangjun's (the author's tutor) book------Culture pass & education selectAfter that, this article continue to analyse more deeply at manyaspects of problems what "the art education" is facing, such as the teaching target, major arrangement, curriculum structure, cultivating ways, teaching operation and organizational mechnism, pass in and out access and so on . after that, the author give some advices of the problems, hoping they'll be valuable and helpful.As far as the meaning of this article, through the overview of relevant literature and experience and thinking within the learning process, the author found that "pragmatism" or "utilitarianism" is an important problem in the art education idea. But education is a kind of cause that doesn't permit too much utility and blindness. Therefore, this article advocates that we should deal with problems within education idea, curriculum structure and cultivational model according to the structuralism of the construction. And we should hope that art education will cultivate more talents with perfect personality and sound discipline structure. The education idea, teaching requirement and cultivational aim involved in this concept is a kind of clarity and introspect of the trend of technicalization and aesthetic education in the practice of art education. In addition, they're also important methods dealing with teachers shortage, idea blear and structural blunders of art education.Another feature of this article is overall analysing the art education in the ground of basic idea of multiple-discipline, which is helpful for deeply understanding problems that exist in art education in China andthe means of solving the problems. It's just the theoretical and practical meaning of this article.However, because of the limitation of the author's competence, this article isn't satisfactory. The questionaire survey and interview isn't deeply and systemic enough, which is the shortage of this article but is also the author's power of continue learning and fulcrum of research.
