With the new curricula standards issued, our basic educational curricula innovation has gone into the moment of truth. The Information Technology Education is the most important part of education for all-rounded development, it needs new educational thoughts and new educational theory urgently.Situated learning theory is the hotspot research of Western learning theories at present. This theory is important for us to rethink traditional education and recognize human's learning. With the emergence of knowledge economy and social formation, more and more attention has been paid to the theory study and practice module of situated learning.This dissertation combines two angles of view of situated learning, psychology and anthropology, expatiates the research achievements of situated learning in theory, and analyzes a U.S. teaching material about Office 2000 software with situated learning theory. I hope to give some advices to domestic Information Technology Education.This dissertation is divided into six parts:Part one makes a synoptic introduce, such as why author has chosen this subject and its research methods.Part two discusses the background of the research. For the demands of informatization and the needs of international competition, China has made a decision of carrying out education for all-rounded development. Our information technology education has much to improve. Situated learning will give a new thought for our Information Technology Education.Part three introduces the situated learning theory in the round withtwo angles of view, psychology and anthropology, and expatiate the need of the research through learning and methodology.Part four discuss the views of knowledge and curriculum of situated learning and the relationship between the situated learning theory and the Information Technology Education. The situated learning theory helps to our information technology education.Part five analyzes a U.S. teaching material about MS Office 2000 software with situated learning theory and gives some advices to domestic information technology education.Part six summarizes the dissertation.This dissertation hopes to analyze the situated learning theory though anthropologic view and open out its fountainhead and feature. In practice through the analysis between Chinese and American textbook related, this dissertation illuminates that situated learning theory has useful help in the innovation of our information technology education.
