Objective: By investigating the effect of the Qingshu YiQi Tang and exercises on the body temperature, FR metabolism and the exercise capability of the rat that kept under high temperature, the aim of the study is to discuss the mechanism of Qingshu YiQi Tang and exercises' effects primarily, the relationship between the FR damage of the brain, the central temperature and the exercise capability. So as to supply the theoretical support to the training, the heat acclimation and the improvement of the exercise capability under high temperature.Method: 72 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: the resting group (A group), the exercise group (B group), the resting plus Qingshu YiQi Tang group(C group) and the exercise plus Qingshu YiQi Tang group(D group). The rats of the C and D group were irrigated certain amount of Qingshu YiQi Tang everyday, the rats of the A and B group were trained for 5 weeks. Then every group were randomly divided into 3 statuses: the exposure status, the heat stress plus certain load status and the heat stress plus exhausting load status. Wrote down the body temperature , the duration of the exercise. Took the issue of the brain immediately after rats were killed, the ability of countering the hydroxy free radical, the activity of MDA, SOD, XOD and GPX were determined, the relevant analysis were employed to the data.Result: The analysis of the body temperature demonstrates that, the body temperature of the rats of the C group are all lower than other groups on 3 different status. On 0min point of the exposure status, the temperature of the rats of D group is insignificantly higher than that of group A (P>0.05) . On 60min point of the heat stress plus certain load status, the temperature of D group is insignificantly higher than that of group A too (P>0.05) . On other points of 3 status, the body temperature of D group are all lower than that of A and B on different levels. The body temperatures of B group are all lower than that of A on different levels (P>0.05) except on 0min point in the status of heat stress plus exhaustion load. The analysis of the indexes shows that: In exposure status, the activity of SOD, XOD, MDA of group B is significantly higher than that of A(P<0.05) ,while GPX is lower (P<0.05) ;The activity of SOD and the ability of countering the hydroxy free radical of group C are significantly higher than that of A (P<0.05) and GPX is much more significantly higher than that of A(P<0.001) while XOD, MDA are significantly lower of A (P<0.05) ;SOD of group D is higher than A (P<0.001) .GPX, ability of countering the hydroxy free radical are all higher than that of A (P<0.05) ,XOD is lower than A (P<0.05) and MDA is much lower (P<0.001) .In heat stress plus certain load status,XOD of group B is much higher than A (P<0.001) ;SOD ,ability of countering the hydroxy free radical of C are higher than A (P<0.05) ,and GPX, XOD are lower than A (P<0.05) .SOD of D is higher, while, GPX is lower than A (P<0.05) .In heat stress plus exhausting load status, SOD of B is much higher than A(P<0.001) and XOD, MDA are higher than A (P<0.05) .SOD of C is higher than A while XOD is lower (P<0.05) .SOD and the ability of countering the hydroxy free radical are much higher than A(P<0.001 )and GPX is higher than A(P<0.05). The analysis of the duration of exercise shows that: duration of D is much longer than that of A and C (P<0.001) and longer than that of B (P<0.05) .B is longer than C (P<0.05) and much longer than A (P<0.001) . In contrary to C, duration of C has been prolonged too (P<0.05) .Conclusions: Single exercise or Qingshu YiQi Tang irrigating can respectively reduce the temperature and the speed of the increase of the temperature and prolong the duration of the exercise. Qingshu YiQi Tang can also relieves the FR damage of the brain, while exercise may accumulates the FR and deteriorates the damage. The effects of the Qishu YiQi Tang could be countered by the exercise to some extent.
