Guided by the theory of modern educational technology, The dissertation has a deeply qualitative analysis of the educational and instructional function of digital information system (DIS) and the way in which it is used from modern instructional notion .The principles and strategy were proposed at last.In the 1980s, the modern educational technology has been more and more widely used in physics teaching. Especially, when 21th century comes, DIS known as the most optimistic about the future was put into use in Shanghai, Guangdong , Jiangsu , Beijing and so on, and becoming dramatic in measuring, dealing with the experiment data, analyzing experimental result etc. In 2003, the Education Department of the People's Republic of China issued ?the high school physics curriculum standard (edition for experiment)?,which proposed :"It should be admire greatly to couple information technology to physics lab, increasing the development and application of middle school physics experimental software ."? the middle school physics curriculum standard of Shanghai (edition for discussion)?definitely put forward :"It must adopt new digital technology to extend the time and space that needed when they have experiment ." With the continuing development of curriculum reform, the appliance of DIS in physics teaching would be pay more attention .It was my honor to participation in this study.DIS belongs to modern instructional technology. It is based on the theory of modern instructional technology, So the rationale of modern instruction is the important part in this dissertation. The theory about modern instructional technology were cleared up, and had pointed comparison with DIS. Then, the core technical characteristics were acquired by analyzing and distilling DIS from the structural feature . the educational and instructional function of DIS were discussed ,at the same time ,the cases on application of DIS were gathered to show the superiority. According to the theory of modern study ,the case was designed to apply DIS into physics teaching. The principles and strategy were proposed finally.Except document research, I participated in evaluating physics teaching in the classroom in the Middle school in Shanghai for many times. Through these ways, I had some senses and understandings to the application of DIS which belong to my own self. I hope the study in this dissertation will be of benefit to DIS study, and can provide something for physics teacher in middle school to consult.
