At present, the rural area of China is experiencing the great transfer of economic structure, in which the rural industrialization is developing sustainably, non-agricultrual economy is extending and rural labor forces are searching new employment in non-agricultural areas and in cities. Among the rural labors which transfer from farming department to non-farming department, people keep more and more attention on rural women's transfer. Because of their low-level knowledge and skill, and the traditional culture and rule about role "men outside, women inside", they can only find job opportunity in informal unit, but can't join in the formal unit. Compared with the male, rural women confront much more restriction from family, society and gender ,and this cause a series of problem ,such as the difference of transfer in farming department compared with male, little job opportunity, little rights and so on. So in this thesis, we try to make clear that what problem now we have in rural women's informal employment, how to improve their ability to protect their rights .Part I is an introduction, which puts forward the purpose, magnificence, study methods and concept of the subject.Part II refers to women's informal employment in China and the situation of informal employment. Introducing the concept of informal employment, the reason why it appears, the situation and characteristic it presents to us now. At last we point that the informal employment can meet women's need efficiently.Part III relates the characteristic of rural women informal employment. Because of their own disadvantage in obtaining job opportunity, and other influence from exterior factors, their employmentexists these problems as follows: low level, shortage of job opportunity, restrict in job transfer from traditional role rules, lack of consciousness in protecting their own rights and so on.Part IVpresents women's ability in job hunting. We try to illuminate how to boost women's ability to get a good job through three ways: rural women, enterprises and social policy.Part V analyses the conclusion and consideration. We analyze the influence in rural women's non-agriculture employment from inside and outside factors. It is a long and arduous work to solve the problem we meet in rural women's employment, the most important thing is to improve the ability, and the fundamental way is to develop town and village enterprise.
