With the coming of the era of learning oriented society and lifelong learning, the accepted ideal goal of education is to culture students' self-regulated learning ability and tell students how to learn. So, how to cultivate students' self-regulated learning ability becomes the important problem demanding prompt solution in teaching practices at present. From the viewpoints of the above, it tries to put forward the integral definition of self-regulated learning ability in chemistry according to others' definitions and sets up the whole strategies to cultivate chemistry self-regulated learning ability of normal university undergraduates, which is easy to put into practice and effective in practice based on the multi-intelligences theory, the integral definition of self-regulated learning ability, the investigative results on self-regulated learning ability and the expressions of multi-intelligences of normal university undergraduates at present.The thesis includes six parts:I Introduction, it puts forward the subject and explains its meanings and gives the main research methods.II Put forward the definition of self-regulated learning and self-regulated learning ability then explain the characteristics and influence factors of self-regulated learning ability and the theory basis to cultivate self-regulated learning ability.III Investigate and discuss the current status of self-regulated learning ability and the use of multi-intelligences of normal university undergraduates.IV The core of the thesis which puts forward the strategies to cultivate self-learning ability of normal university students, according to the investigation results and the factors which affect self-regulated learning ability, normal university chemistry curriculum and multi-intelligences theory,V Discuss the project of chemistry class teaching in the cultivation of normal university students' self-learning ability and the cases.VI Problems and prospects which includes the main problems about how to cultivate normal university students' chemistry self-learning ability and what I shall study about it.
