Students' managing job is an important part of higher education. In recent years. with deepening social reform and the reform of higher education, studying and living conditions of college students have been changed so much, and managing students is facing new challenge. How to train a large number of persons with eligibility is a chief task for studying college students' management, and also an important content of studying public management. This paper analyzes the characteristics of contemporary college students on the basis of questionnaire, points out current problems that college students' management is facing, makes a deeply analyze on the roots, and ultimately puts forward to managing idea and countermeasure to college students' managing job by combing with practical experience of management.Current problems that college students' management is facing: the reform of college students' managing system is relatively taken after the developing demand of marketing economy, students' managing methods are short of activity and science, management basis is indigent. Deeply building up and perfecting socialist marketing economic system, great changes have taken places in outer environment and inner factors of contemporary college students, such as the reform of Teaching Managing System, the reform of Credit System, the reform of Socialized Logistic, and severe pressure of college students' Employment etc. The reform of higher education has brought new problems to managing job, and also information network has advanced new challenge to college students' management.Do well in strengthening and improving countermeasure of college students' management. This idea is that we will build up scientific managing idea on the basis of a clear aim. College students' management converts passivity to activity, builds up the managing idea of "People Oriented", emphasizes students' activity, pays attention to their initiative, respects of their characteristic development, insists on combining education with management, strengthens their self-management. On the basis of this, we are actively probing into new managing mode, optimizing student's managing system, perfecting scientific managing mechanism, building up changing decentralizing into centralizing management, breaking out of multi-central "small and complete" and into "exact and special", changing indirect into direct managing mechanism, perfecting students' managing systems to make college students' management scientific and systematic, actively applying the newly-methods such as "management into networks", "management into mass organization" and "management into apartment" etc. and broadening students' managing space. By the way of modernizing educational management, college students' management has been more scientific, systematic and standard.
