Mathematics is the science of exploring the relationship between the form of dimensions and quantity. It is an effective tool and a scientific language which is used to describe the rules of nature and society. As one of the major courses in senior middle school, mathematics is recognized as an elementary and practical tool. In the 2000s, mathematics is experiencing a prolong curriculum reform. The new-standard curriculum sets up a special program---exploring mathematics and points out that it is the core of mathematics in senior middle schools and that it should be emphasized in each module. The new standard of the curriculum advocates: under the guide of the teacher, the students can learn mathematics actively and willingly, which calls on the teachers to teach mathematics using the exploring learning strategy. The thesis follows the tendency of the development of students'psychology, combined with the actual conditions and the teacher's own teaching practice and experience, aimed at the cognition, creation and self-development of the students. The thesis discusses how to use the exploring learning strategy in class activities and does the experiments in whether the exploring learning strategy will have effect on the learning results and the students'interest. According to the analyses of the results of the experiments and questionnaires, a conclusion is drawn as follows: the exploring teaching strategy will strengthen the students'interest in learning; meanwhile, it will stimulate their creativity and improve their learning ability. Some suggestions are also put forward on how to carry out the exploring learning strategy in class activities.
