Twenty century 60's, a new form of society came into being, named the learning society. With the development of society, especially as the coming of an epoch of knowledge-based economy, the learning society has become the inevitable trend of the human society. With the change of the learning form and the learning content, the way and the method which people learn in the learning society also changed, the concept of long-life learning is emerging. To adapt to the learning society, all learners need to use multiform learning resources, including various media for transmitting knowledge and information and various places. Society needs to provide abundant learning information resources to meet learners'needs. According to the personalities of learning society, there will be enough society learning service facilities and methods so that it can guarantee that learners could learn at any time and places they feel convenient. These service facilities and methods are so-called society learning network.While writing this paper, a large amount of interrelated literature is used. There are so many overseas or home scholars who have made deep research of learning society and long-life education system. They have even introduced many productions in those fields. But so far, nearly no one has made any research in the field of society learning network, so people are lack of this essential knowledge. They are always made confusion with society learning network and long-life education system, or they will ignore the existence and the importance of society learning network. This confusion of cognition is because of the lack of understanding of the concept and personalities of society learning network.After a detailed study, the following findings were obtained:First, society learning network in this paper is a learning system that is founded by nations, social organizations or their members; it can provide every social member multiform learning resources other than schooling.Second, the society learning network has its personalities, such as lifelong, on-limits, for everyone, modern, holistic, multiplex, and non-commercial.Third, the society learning network includes: museums and art exhibitions, culture palaces, libraries and book stores, teenagers'palaces and senior citizen's palaces, media, families, communities, organizations etc.Forth, its effects are that it's the foundation of constructing learning society, it's the complementary of long-life education system, it's a guarantee of learners, independent learning, it's an inspirit of realizing one's value.Fifth, there are five principles to be obeyed, such as holistic layout, chief construction, modern methods, and multiplex investment, human-based.Sixth, there are four aspects to be noticed, such as increase investment based on improving cognition, quicken construction based on holistic layout, construct learning platform based on modern long-distance education network, exerting their usages based on fastening its opening.
