Nowadays, with the prompt development of the information technology about computer, it has great influence with the social life. At present, with the efforts and promotion of the experts from the educational circle, we have made great progress on the research and practice of CAI. In order to advocate the ability education ,as a new study in the field of mathematics teaching, how we would fit the information times development and how we would use the computer to help the math teaching are worth research.The traditional Example Teaching combined with computerized teaching has been using widely and efficiently . Otherwise, by analyzing for the present CAI development and investigating for the computerized example teaching in our city, the result is, CAI with math example teaching still has many problems, such as, innovations, etc. So the writer thinks enquiry form these parts is beneficial.On one hand, Computer Assisted Instruction is called CAI, which teachers use the computer and some related softwares to teach the whole class and individuals through the communication way with computer. CaI is a kind of teaching tool to improve the teaching quality and efficiency, the most softwares we use in our teaching as Powerpoint, author-ware, flash, etc. On the other hand, the Example teaching is one of the most important parts in the mathematics teaching, which instructs students to find out the inherent educational value existing in the example and create scientific and organized learning methods, at the time, trains students good thought habits, self-thought abilities and self–taught abilities. The rules of scientific example teaching should be adhered, choosing the suitable examples and settling and discussing ways.From questionnaires, it is showed that the example teaching with CAI existed the main problems, 1. applied limits for information technology, unbalance and superior resources wasted; 2. lack of high quality and actual effects and right understanding; 3. teachers'lower skills for using computer and surfing the net for information; 4. softwares and hardwares in the school cannot meet the needs of teaching; 5. teaching wares in the comments and forms still could not be planned as a whole, meanwhile, the levels of designing and creating should be improved.Then, what should we deal with CAI combined with the example teaching perfectly? In writer's view, specialities of mathematics are abstract and logical, esp. Geometry, requiring the abitilty of imagination. Computer assisted the example teaching should meet the practical demand and have the definite researching destination to choose which ware and which teaching way. The writer proposes the following tactics:1. Computer assisted the example teaching should be adhered the following rules:(1) students as the main body in teaching(2) mutual exchanging(3) practical operation(4) open principle(5) pointed principle2. Computer assisted example teaching could have the following specific ways(1) For the most examples in Algebra , we could adopt the way of powerpoint connected with word. These examples set imitation and demonstration as an importance. What the students should do is to find out the settling laws and the scientific and standard ways according teacher's examples. Otherwise, the sort of examples exist many mathematics thought methods, such as, model, etc. which should be emphasized.(2)According to the different situations, we could use Flash to design the lead-in, thinking and answering parts so as to elicit students learning interests and improve the learning enthusiasm and efficiency, furthermore, come to . Creating the situations includes:①to create a real situation to elicit students'interests and curiosity in learning mathematics②to create an imaginable situation③to create a game situation to make the comments lively and interesting.(3)For the examples related with Geometry, Graph and Function, we could use GSP to help students find out the way and work out the difficulties through showing abstract questionsComputer assisted example teaching plays a very important role in mathematics teaching. CAI is being used widely and need further promoting, which would bring a revolution for mathematics teaching. CAI has many advantages on its words, numbers, flash, video, voice etc, which has made up the shortcoming of the traditional teaching and made great progress in class teaching.CAI behaves the following actual uses. 1. It is beneficial to improving students'interests and efficiency; 2. It creates multi-teaching;3. It could create situations and promote ; 4. It could put students as the main body; 5. It could help mathematics knowledge express ,at the same time, settle for the problems that traditional teaching methods cannot work out the difficulties.CAI shows its values in many aspects.1. Bringing the teaching thought revolutions; 2. It's beneficial to overcoming the difficult points; 3. It could improve the teaching efficiency; 4.The development of internet could promote the communications between teachers; 5. It is helpful to improve teachers'levels.The writer based the research to two similar level classes that she is teaching on the general analysis of secondary school mathematics teaching theories and actual example teaching. It is further confirmed that the writer's view on computer assisted secondary school mathematics teaching is possessed of meaningful use and value Meanwhile, the writer pointed out CAI as a kind of teaching tool, like other tools, is also confined in some aspects. So we could not reagard it as a key to all doors, but neglect other tools research and use. It is a rather complicated process to combine CAI with example teaching. We have many problems required our researchers and mathematics teachers to research and discuss.
