Mental health of college students plays a very important role in their growth and future success. However, Ma Jiajue Event and many similar tragedies have happened in colleges and universities in the past few years, indicating that it is necessary and urgent to reinforce the mental health education of the college students and carry out the research.This study takes undergraduate students of Qufu Normal University as research object.2472 students from grade one and 600 others from grade two, three, and four have been investigated by Personality Questionnaire UPI and scoring in Symptom Check List-90(SCL-90).It research the condition of students'mental health and common characteristic ,intending to mastering the condition of students'mental health in Qufu Normal University, finding out the existing differences among different sexes and grades and proposing the effective approaches and countermeasures of education of students'mental health.There are five parts in this paper.Part One puts forward the problem of students'mental health, and demonstrates the significance of the study of this problem. Then we analyze the state and education of students'mental health, as well as the research work that has been done in this field in our country.Part Two puts Standard and Significance of Mental health of college students. It includes Meaning of Mental health; Standard of Mental health of college students; Main question and Performance of Mental health of college students; Significance of Mental health of college student.Part Three presents the design and process of this study, the choosing of the research objects and questionnaires. There are two sections in the questionnaires. In the first section, students from grade one are investigated by Personality Questionnaire UPI to understand their neurosis,mind and body sickness,schizophrenia, as well as their annoyance, puzzle, dissatisfaction, conflicts and so on. In the second section of the questionnaires, Symptom Check List-90(SCL-90) is used to test the factors of Force symptom,Interpersonal relationship Sensitive,Anxious,Biased,Hostile,Terror,Neurosis,Psychological barrier etc. Hopefully, we can understand the standard of upperclassmen's mental health in our university。Part Four analyzes and discusses the result of the study. According the result, we make the commentary about the standard of students'mental health in Qufu Normal University .It shows that the first grade students of SCL-90'Average is 9.01 in Qufu Normal University, which is higher than the other Collage'level (8.34-8.72). And"the first type"of SCL-90 is 7.2%,"the second type"is 37%.All show that the standard of students'mental health of the first grade students is worse.Compared with the national norms, the most factors of upperclassmen in SCL-90 are higher, and the factors of Despondent,Anxious,Biased,Neurosis show a very clear difference. Girl students'fear, force, hostility and anxiety are higher than boy students. The state of upperclassmen'mental health is better than that of the freshmen. At last, we analyze the reasons of the poor mental health mainly from the angle of age.Part Five brings forward the corresponding strategies and suggestions from four aspects. First of all, we should change our concept and improve our cognition, Strengthens Education strength of mental health education. Second, we should try to set up a practical mental health education system. Third, we should combine moral education and mental health education. Then the campus culture should be reinforced and we need a better cultural environment. The fifth is improving the standard of the teachers'mental health. Last we should Development Activity of mental health education so that improving the standard of the students'Understanding.
