Life-long education and life-long learning are basic concepts of modern education.The constant development of modern society requires life-long learning,thus school education must lay a foundation for students'life-long learning and development.The mathematical learning in high school not only provides necessary mathematical foundation for students to adapt to modern life,but also fosters students'learning abilities necessary for life-long development. Therefore,it forms a connecting link between the preceding and the following development of students. Reading is one of the main ways to gain knowledge,so mathematical teaching in high school needs to value reading,foster students'ability of gaining knowledge independently, in which the reading ability is the center,and enable them to gain the ability of life-long learning.Students'reading ability is in the center of mathematical reading which is organized and directed by teachers.The main characteristics of mathematical learning are students'active participation,active exploration,active thinking and active practice.This learning method requires students to concentrate on their study to overcome the dependent psychology of being fed with,greatly inspires students'internal drive of learning,and motivates students'learning enthusiasm.Such is one of the active learning ways the new curriculum promotes.Nowadays,mathematical reading has not gained enough attention by teachers and students.In mathematical education research,the research on mathematical reading is not overall,deep enough and short of systematization.While the research on the strategy of mathematical reading is not much and lacks real,operable and directive function.Therfore,it is necessary to strengthen both the theory and the practice of mathematical reading,so as to explore effective ways of developing high school students'mathematical reading ability.The article studys the present situation of high school students'mathematical reading and the relative factors influencing mathematical reading comprehension through questionnaires and individual talks.Combined with the learning of mathematical reading theory,it also analyzes the characteristics of mathematical reading and the formation of mathematical reading ability. The content of mathematical reading can be divided into three parts: mathematical textbooks, mathematical questions and mathematical practice problems.In order to train the students'maths reading ability,the article discusses corresponding methods according to the different mathematical contents, especially about the effect that reflective reading has on the development of students'learning ability.
