Since entering the new century, with the application of mathematics knowledge domain gradually expanding, the role of mathematical knowledge is more and more important. Mathematics reading ability has become the ability for people in the modern-information society to obtain knowledge. Senior high school students have a certain mathematical reading ability, but they lack a systematic, scientific theoretical basis and practical exercises in the strategy and method of reading. Therefore, to understand the status of high school students in mathematics reading, to analyze the problems and reasons, is of great significance to cultivate the ability of mathematics reading of high school students in order that teachers can take appropriate and effective measures.In this paper, the main research is about the current situation and the problems of high school students’mathematics reading, and the training strategy of mathematical reading ability.First of all, this article uses the literature analysis method, searching a lot of information about mathematical reading, to define related concepts of mathematical reading and mathematical reading ability.Secondly, using questionnaire, reading test and interview, we have come to the status of high school students’ mathematical reading and the level of mathematical reading ability. It mainly includes the following conclusions:(1) recognizing the role of mathematical reading, but attitudes on mathematical reading is not good;(2) mathematics reading lack internal motivation;(3) The ability of high school students’ mathematics reading comprehension is obvious that there are some reading disorder;(4)The method of mathematical reading lacks depth in reading;(5)The attention that fhigh school teachers pay to mathematical reading is not enough;(6)The situation of extracurricular mathematical reading in high school students is not ideal.Finally, on the basis of investigation and analysis, combined with the theory research and the author’s own teaching experience, proposing the training of high school students’ mathematical reading ability can be obtained from the following aspects:(1) Cultivating the interest of high school students’ mathematical reading, stimulating their internal motivation, such as the creation of the problem situation, stimulating interest in reading; exchanging the reading results, enhancing the reading self-efficacy; establishing reading evaluation mechanism which is mainly based on encouragement.(2) Developing students’ mathematical language, improving the transformation ability of mathematics language. It mainly includes text language symbols, symbolic language graphical and mathematical language diversity.(3)Teaching students scientific and effective methods, strengthen training. Effective methods on mathematical reading include following aspects:use the "circle, point, designated" marking, hook heavy difficulty; take "step by step" strategy and chew; let the students say the title, think and train; reflection for problem-solving, training students ability on promotion and variant; construct knowledge to make knowledge systematization.
