Dabie Mountains In West Middle School Physical Education And Countermeasures Research

It is well-known that rural education is still the main body of elementary education in ourcountry up to now. As for school physical education, its main work point lies in rural areas, itsdifficult point lies in less developed areas, and its weak point lies in the rural grass-roots highschools and primary schools. Therefore, this thesis attempts to conduct a research which is usedthe old Dabie mountain revolutionary area in the west part of Anhui province as itsbackground ,and the connecting link of junior high school physical education as its object. Theaim is to make a survey on the currency of junior high school physical education in themountain area and show a window of reform of new P.E curriculum. It will enrich the researchtopic on rural school physical education which is changing with each passing day, and it willhave important values of theory and special regional practice, as well as to be helpful to getsome valuable reference of controlling and making policy for the local relative departments.This thesis goes deeply into the management, P.E curriculum resources, teaching of P.Eand extracurricular PE activities of junior high school physical education in the mentioned areaby introducing fundamental circumstances of Dabie mountain area in the west part of Anhuiprovince. The survey of the current situation shows that the junior high school physicaleducation in the mentioned area has disadvantages as well as advantages. On the one hand, itstill has some problems because of the regional differences of economic culture and education;on the other hand, it has a gradual progress with the development of elementary education theseyears, there are also some regional advantages of junior high school physical education in thementioned area.After analyzing the main causes of problems and finding out regional characteristics, theconclusions can be drawn here: The lack of financial resource P.E teachers and PE hard piecesis still serious, which affects P.E teaching quality and the reform of P.E curriculum directly; PEteachers are still in great need in the junior high schools, specially, female P.E teachers, and thetotal quality of PE teachers is so limited that it cannot fit for the quality education; The P.Eteaching activities of junior high school can be run normally, which cannot fit for the reform ofnew curriculum of physical education and lacks the local teaching materials and methods whichfit for the junior high school P.E teaching in the remote mountain area; Great gaps existbetween the thought and acknowledgement of education and concrete P.E teaching practice justlike wearing new shoes but walking on the old way, and the root of problem lies in thetraditional education thought for exam and one-sided creation thought of PE which have notbeen cleared away in the reform of new curriculum; The administrative organization of schoolP.E in the area is perfect, but it relies on the management of the big education system which is merely nominal on junior high school P.E; There are also standing some regional advantages ofP.E curriculum resources including the natural conditions, the folk traditional physical activitiesand something else, which have not been developed and applied largely at present; Thebackground and root of restricting and stopping the development of junior high school P.E inthe mentioned area is just the special human cultural and geographical environment in theDabie mountain revolutionary area in the west part of Anhui province.On account of the problems above, this thesis also puts forward some countermeasures andsuggestions on how to overcome difficulties, develop regional advantages, improve andpromote the work of junior high school physical education in Dabie mountain area in the westpart of Anhui province.
