Firstly, the modest thesis puts forward problem and approaches in research with the foundation of Total Quality Management(TQM hereafter) and by analyzing the current situation of present higher vocational education in China. Then it offers the introduction to the theories and approaches of TQM and specific practices in the field of higher vocational education. To apply the concept of TQM in the teaching affairs management in higher vocational school is to improve relevant activities, to establish the service concept of "student first", that is, overall management comes into an intact service network around teaching affairs, thus to ensure the improvement in teaching quality. The thesis mainly explore relevant matters in higher vocational school concerning the practice of TQM in teaching through one real school case, and further probes into the posibility of drawing the above-mentioned concept to instruct the management in higher vocational education. In order to implement the TQM better, great efforts should be made to present full preparations in advance, to establish sound quality system, and even to attach great importance to quality controling, quality evaluation as well as its sucessive upgrading so as to guarantee the smooth operation of the TQM by means of constructing the system of total teaching quality management and quality supervision as well.
