Education is for the sake of every student's development. This theory nowadays becomes new-time's curricular theme. It insists on students' main position in education, and represents the return of humanism. As an important part of Chinese curricular source, the Chinese textbooks bears main contents of Chinese education, and shoulders the important task of making Chinese course achieve its purpose. The experimental senior high school Chinese textbook published by Jiangsu educational book concern (it will be called Chinese textbook version Jiangsu in the following text) passed examination in autumn 2004. It is also being used in Shandong, Hainan and jiangsu province. Chinese textbook version Jiangsu is one of five versions that were written according to new class standard and passed national examinations for the first time. This thesis is going to study and discuss on it.This thesis is written according to the spirit of new curricular innovation, and my two years' teaching experience during which I taught students using the Chinese textbook version Jiangsu. As a new version of Chinese textbook, this textbook has lots of characteristics in many aspects. I think the Chinese textbook version Jiangsu's classical, timely, flexible, opened and unique contents makes up its humanism characteristic. In the teaching process We must manifest language text system's characteristic of the Chinese textbook version Jiangsu and understand the compilation intention, teaches students in accordance with their aptitude; Respect individuality and multi-dimensionally explain to the text.Based on these summaries and my experience, I suggest that first it should be more opened to choose contents for the textbooks. Second, it should get closer to the students' real life. Third, the contents should be funnier. Fourth, we should pay more attention to bringing up students' creativity when choosing contents.These suggestion make textbooks written later much more scientific and practical.
