University Park Sports Resource Sharing

In recent years, university park as a unique educational phenomenon has arisen quickly in China. Its establishment has offered an effective approach to vitalizing sports resources, promoting sports resources sharing and reforming sports managerial and educational system in Chinese colleges and universities. However, at present Chinese university park presents the character of simple gathering trend in practice, which hasn't maximized the advantage of resources gathering and resulted in serious waste of educational resources. This waste has added the cost of resources management and undercut the spreading effect of resources gathering . Therefore, it is significant to break traditional barriers between regions and establish sports resources sharing system to promote the process of sports resources integration, vitalize sports resources potential and arrive at sound cycle in the long run. Adopting the methods of literature review, questionnaire, expert interview and statistical analysis, this thesis gives a comprehensive analysis of sports resources in six university parks of China, the result of which shows that there are several favorable factors of sports resources sharing in Chinese university parks, such as abundance of sports resources, easy reach of sports resources and strong desire of sports resources sharing. However, in practice the effect of sports resources sharing has been undercut by such factors as traditional ideas, old systems, cultural tradition and resources allocation. Therefore, it is necessary to realize the full potential of sports resources sharing. Aimed at realizing the sustainable development of sports resources in Chinese university parks, this thesis suggests that it is significant to include sports resources sharing as one of the development aims of all residential colleges and universities and establish applicable sports resources sharing managerial system to further the rational reform of sports resources allocation and thus promote the dimensional sports resources sharing.
