Survey Of Human Resources Of Anhui University Basketball League And Countermeasures

Anhui Universities Basketball League Tournament (AUBLT) has been held six times since 2000. The number of the participant teams has rocketed to 38 from the original 4. However, compared to the tournaments in other provinces, AUBLT is always below the middle level in competition. This thesis tries to figure out the reason behind the phenomenon.From the angle of management science, with the combination of the approaches such as written docments, questionaire and interview, the thesis, aiming to figure out the problems existing in the league tournament and try to offer solutions to them in order to improve the competitive level of AUBLT, presents an investigation of the source, ability, payment and management of the sportsman, the coaches and the referees attending the 6th AUBLT, who constitute the whole subjects of this research. The study shows:(1) there is a great lack in reserve personnel for AUBLT, which is characteristic of "an inverted pyramid";(2) the organizational structure of AUBLT is of low efficiency and the administration should be bettered;(3) the AUBLT administration's ignorance of the importance of the coaches in the development of the league tournament leads to the pessimistic fact that there are no enough excellent coaches in AUBLT;(4) the poor payment of the coaches seriously hinders the development of AUBLT;(5) the coaches generally have a good understanding of the regular training for AUBLT, which is the potential motive for the development of AUBLT;(6) the reason that there are generally no qualified referees lies in the lack of a stable referee team.
