Senior middle school education in the national education system has a unique status and value. As an integral part of basic education, it not only lays the foundation for the development of student's lifelong development but it also is of great significance for the students to receive further education. In the new century, in order to meet the rapidly changing needs of the community for new qualified personnel. States have a high school education curriculum for the large scale restructuring and reform. China is no exception. The key to the success of the reform are the conductors of the course -- teachers, in particular, the head teacher. In addition to the normal teaching, head teachers have to shoulder the responsibility of the managing classes. Head teachers'working methods and ideas have a far-reaching and even lifelong impact on the students. I feel it necessary to study the work of head teachers based on new curriculum reform. This paper first describes the nature, characteristics and responsibilities, tasks of the work of head teachers,laying the theoretical foundation for further study. And then the researcher analyzes the new challenges and the new tasks under the new curriculum reform in the new situation in the new era,thus drawing the conclusion that the work of head teachers is imperative. Finally the research put forward four strategies of improving the work of head teachers from four perspectives: double-track management strategy; loving the entire class strategy; creativity education strategy; Psychological care strategy; three-in-one strategy.
