This study attempts to know the sense of well-being level of high-school students and vocational college students and what's influence resulted in the background variables and self-esteem by investigating the sense of well-being state of high-school students and vocational college students. On this basis, combining with interview, thinking and suggestion about exalting adolescents'sense of well-being are given. The paper includes three main parts:First, utilizing the scale of Adolescent Student Subjective Sell-being and the scale of Self-esteem to investigate and analyze, the results manifested: (1) the overall level sense of well-being of high-school students and vocational college students is above the middle. About 10% students'sense of well-being is below the middle level. In school, family and environment three specific areas of life satisfaction, vocational college students are significantly lower than high-school students. (2) Family finance does not significantly impact on the high-school students overall sense of well-being, yet it significantly impacts vocational college students'family satisfaction. (3) There is gender difference of high-school students and vocational college students in life satisfaction. The girls'life satisfaction and sense of well-being is higher than boys in the mass. (4) There is grade difference of high-school students and vocational college students in life satisfaction and emotional experience. Grade three students of high-school and vocational colleges get lower life satisfaction. Grade one students of high-school experience more negative emotion; Grade one and four students of vocational college are significantly lower than other grades in positive emotion.(5) Academic performance significantly impacts on the sense of well-being. Poor academic performance in high-school and vocational college students are significantly lower than achievers and secondary students in life satisfaction. In the frequency of negative emotions, the high-school achievers are significantly lower than secondary and poor students. (6) high-school students, except family satisfaction, and vocational college students, except school and environment satisfaction, their self-esteem and the other dimensions of the sense of well-being are significantly correlated. Secondly, utilizing qualitative research methods, such as interview, on-site observation and others'evaluation to find out more detailed information of the high-school students sense of well-being, reach the following conclusions: (1) Subjective well-being is an effective operational definition of the sense of well-being. (2) The nature of sense of well-being should be understood from the integrated perspective of subjective well-being and psychological well-being. (3) The effect factors of the sense of well-being should be explored from the consolidated perspective of individual's internal factors and external environmental factors. (4) School education should be concerned with the sense of well-being exaltation of students.Finally, thinking is given on the possibility and necessity of the adolescent students'sense of well-being exaltation, and the relationship among the sense of well-being exaltation, the education on the sense of well-being idea and the sense of well-being education. School mental health education should be a main channel to exalt the students'sense of well-being.
