Health education is very essential in the five educational fields of kindergarten. But themetal health education is quite a weak section in the health education system in kindergarten inChina, because it started late and had not developed fully.This paper is from the point of view of pre-school education curriculum, making aninvestigation into the implement of current condition of mental health education in kindergartenthrough Guangzhou, hoping to get familiar with the recent conditions and find the problemsexisting in this course of educating and offer some suggestion for improving the development ofmental health education in kindergarten of China. This paper is consisted of 3 parts:The 1st pan is the analysis of the mental health education in kindergarten making anin-depth analysis on the development of mental health education in kindergarten in America,England, Japan and China during the middle and late 20th century, offering the reference forresearching into the mental health education in kindergarten of China. Depending on the phase,this part is to compare and explain the status among four countries in chronological order formthe 4 following aspects: objective, content, implement and evaluation facets of mental healtheducation in kindergarten.In the 2nd part, this paper conducts a systematic analysis of the current status about theobjective, content, implement and evaluation facets of mental health education in kindergartenthrough Guangzhou, and find out the deficiencies of it. In the process the qualitative researchapproach is adopted in light of materials gathered through observation, interview and collectionof textual data, along with questionnaire survey. Based on the above two parts and aimed at theexisting problems among mental health education in kindergarten, the 3rd part is to offer somesincere and pertinent suggestion for improving the development of mental health education inkindergarten of China to the four aspects: objective, content, implement and evaluation.
