The purpose of this study is to research for the theory and study related to the evaluationof lecturers and understanding the differences of lecturers' opinions to the importance ofEvaluation Indicator in Higher Education Institutions in Macao for structure the evaluationindicators for lecturers in Higher Education Institutions in Macao. The study takes MacaoPolytechnic Institute Lecturers and interns as parent population, using stratified sampling todecide the number of schools and Lecturers. The number of schools is 6, there are 308questionnaires returned. The analysis is also integrated with related literature review.This study adopts the poll of "A Study on Developing Indicators for Lecturer Evaluationin Higher Education Institutions in Macao" as the main approaches. The result from the pollwas analyzed by the statistic approaches such as T-Test, One-Way ANOVA. The significantconclusion and suggestions are summarized as follows:Conclusions:1. Lecture Evaluation Indicator in Higher Education Institutions are divided into 5evaluation fields (such as teaching knowledge and competency, Teaching Attitude,Student Counseling, Administrative Services and morality), besides StudentCounseling, the rest of 4 evaluation fields are divided into 2-3 sub-fields, there are68 items in total under the sub-field.2. Under the influences of the different factors, such as the lecturers' professionalismand the students' various characteristics, the professional lecture lectures willemphasis more on the importance of teaching motivation in the teaching attitudeaspect than generals lecture lectures.3. The different nature of working affairs involved, if lecturer who is pluraladministration office concurrently, for instance serve as a Dean or Principal, willfinally cause the importance on "Teaching Plan and Evaluation" in the "Teachingknowledge and competency aspect" and "exalt Lecturer morality" in the "Moraland Professional aspect" higher than lecturer.Suggestions: 1. Different academic curriculum should adopt different Evaluation Indicator. TheEvaluation Indicator can be compiled by canvassing various opinions and benefitfrom the higher education institutions.2. Lecturer Evaluation Indicator should be recognized by the majority of lecturers, itcan ensure the scientific and feasibility on Lecturer Evaluation Indicator, it can alsoenhance lecturer to understand more the Lecturer Evaluation Indicator, improve therecognition of the Lecturer and reduce the obstacles of the implementation.3. To pay more attention to fully cover on the Evaluation Indicator by the students,should including the lecture note which was given to the student by the lecturer,assignment, exam result, publication, in-class discussion, graduation thesis, designresult, society activities participation as a Evaluation Indicator.4. Develop scientific Evaluation Indicator, avoid "one table" be applied multiple kindof Curriculum Evaluation.
