Characteristics Of Scientific Inquiry Ability In The Chemistry Of The Experimental School Students In Shanghai

Under the background of domestic and international courses reform, the current national compulsory education standard of the chemical courses (draft) indicates that, the scientific research should be the core of the new course. Shanghai Experimental School which the writer works at is a school based on the educational experiment. Because of the special features of the educated, I would like to research some of the features in the research capability of chemical education in order to find a better teaching method to improve the students'scientific research capability.Firstly, the writer conducted research of"scientific research capability"based on the literatures and made the questionnaire according to the definition of the national standard of the chemical courses from 8 aspects. Secondly, the writer did the survey on the students in Shanghai Experimental School from 3rd grade (junior) to 2nd grade (senior) and analyzed the data to identify the impact of the age on the scientific research capability. The result shows that the age does not have a direct impact on the scientific research capability. The factor analysis indicates the students'scientific research capability could be described by using the 6-element model. The elements includes: exploration consciousness, experimental quality, data processing, behavior habit, words description and subject expectations.Therefore, in view of the feature of the students'scientific research capability, the ideal of"capacity integration"could be a strategic proposal to train the exploration consciousness, improve the capability of description and optimize the quality of experiment. The writer also expects that the proposal could help to improve the scientific research capability of the students in Shanghai Experimental School.
