Affective education of history subject is thought very important in middle school all along. Under the background of nowadays'new curriculum idea, the connotation of affective education of history subject in middle school turns richer. New history curriculum of middle school emphasizes three factors: emotion, attitude and values. Aims of emotion, attitude and values education was put forward in new national curriculum reform in 2001. There has been list the most important objectives of emotion, attitude and values in New National Curriculum Standards.Scholars and history teachers have begun to research emotion, attitude and values education of history subject in middle school. They have made a little progress. But there are many problems in carrying out affective education. I write this paper after learning theories of new curriculum and combining my practice of history teaching. This paper attempts to discuss on emotion, attitude and values education of history subject in middle school basically. In this paper, I analyze the connotation of emotion, attitude and values education, review development of the affective education objectives of history subject in middle school. I compare Chinese objectives and practice of affective education of history subject in middle school with American. At last, I summarize the basic principles of emotion, attitude and values education of history subject in middle school: the principle of orientation, the principle of integration, the principle of scene, the principle of experience, the principle of tier, the principle of moderation. I hope my paper is useful to carrying out affective education for history teachers in middle school.
