"Human-oriented" is the main theme of educational reforms. Its premise is to adjust the relationship between teachers and students, without the fundamental changes of which, the concept of new curriculum would not be truly put into practice. To establish an equal, democratic and harmonious teacher-student relation will be the guarantee of the successful implementation of new curriculum reform. In this dissertation, a research has been made to explore the relationship between teachers and students in ideological and moral courses in junior high schools in the light of new curriculum concept.For a long time, in the teaching process of ideological and moral classes in junior high schools, the teacher always act as an authority, which fetters the development of students and also impairs the harmonious relationship between teachers and students. Different from other subjects, the ideological and moral courses in junior high schools give much more prominence to "the education of people", and it is a primary approach of carrying out moral education. The value of moral education lies in the true development of students in minds, not just sermons from the teachers. Therefore, starting with the current situation of the teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses in junior high schools, in line with the new curriculum concept, the dissertation makes an analysis of the main factors affecting the teacher-student relationship, tying to explore how to adjust the teacher-student relationship consciously and establishing a new kind of teacher-student relationship which will both be adapted to the new curriculum concept and conformable to the demands of the times so as to improve the teaching effects of the ideological and moral classes and promote the all-round development of the students.The summary of the teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses is clearly outlined in Part I , which presents the meaning, main characteristics and theoretical foundation of ideological and moral courses.Part II bring forwards the significance of establishing teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses. The function that harmonious teacher-student relationship promotes teaching in ideological and moral classes is discussed.In Part III, the problems existing in the teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses and influential factors are analyzed.Part IV goes deep into the exploration of the establishing teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses, and put forwards concrete strategy and requests for teachers.Part V emphasizes on some issues that should be given great attention. It expound that the relation of respect and strictly request, tolerance and persist, and positive inspirit and necessary critics must be dealt well with.Based on practical research, preliminary conclusions can be drawn that harmonious teacher-student relationship in ideological and moral courses is beneficial to the buildup oflearning interests and all-around development of students.
