This thesis discusses theoretical models of children's public education activities in art museums, and how those theoretical models can be applied to museum practice. Games are an integral part of children's normal activities. This thesis provides a model for applying the notion of children's games to museum based children's art education. This application of "games" has a potential to make an important contribution, to art museums operations as the social and cultural institutions, since teaching children about art and aesthetics is an important responsibility of art museums. In museum education, the concepts and innovative methods of education are very important today. This thesis presents an argument that museum based children's public education could benefit from introduction of 'fun' and games. The model "let's play a game with arts," is introduced as the core activity of the children's museum based education. The types and content of the games have theoretical basis and significance. The thesis also suggests that much more in-depth research is needed by art museum and art management professionals on how to develop and improve children's education activities and experiences.
