The quality of humanistic education is the essence of history education, which plays a basic role in the quality of education. What's more, according to the study of historical knowledge, cultivating students'quality of the humanities is the most basic function of history education. However, education has tended toward the exam-oriented education in senior middle school for a long time; of course, the quality of history education has gradually watered down. Finally, the development of humanistic education is not functional. Based on the theoretical basis of pedagogy, psychology and the teaching of history, the paper attempts to analyze the current problem of humanistic education in history teaching so that teachers teach it better in actual teaching.At present, the plight of humanistic education is literacy training in the teaching of history. Because it is considered as a soft task and neglected, humanistic education is not effective in helping students learn history and reality. In pursuit of high school admission rate and the passing rate for the ultimate goal of outstanding are main causes of the plight of the teaching of history. What's worse, teachers haven't systematic teaching plans or lack of interesting.For these reasons of the plight, a variety of methods should be used to enhance the teaching of history in senior middle school. For example, improving the humanistic quality of teachers; creating a good humanistic environment; establishing clear targets of teaching; excavating materials cultural connotation; putting humanistic sprit in innovation and constructing a new evaluation mode.
