Political education is the combination of theoretical education, social knowledge and public education, which hold a important task for laying a solid foundation for the students' development all their life. With the further reform of the text books in Shanghai, the disadvantages of the traditional evaluation in the students 'studies are obvious to us. Nowadays, the quality education centers on moral education and emphasizes creativity and practice whose objectives are to lay groundwork for the students' all-round development as well as for the students' individual development. With the change and adjustment of educational goal, the teaching of political education in senior high school gets further development and perfection. The contents of evaluation in the students' study increase, the range extends and the function expands. So it is urgent to reform evaluation methodology. Under the guidance of the new course idea, I make a further study of evaluation in the students' studies.Through providing a practical mode for studying evaluation system of the course of Politics in high school, this thesis intends to firstly establish a studying evaluation system to evaluate how much students have learnt in the course of Politics in a scientific, all-round and objective way, Secondly, to reflect the procedure of student's physical and mental growth, thirdly, to share experience and provide some practical methods of such projects as: how to put "all-round development" into practice in high school; improve efficiency in the course of Politics; cultivate students' sense of innovation and creativity, etc.This thesis falls into four parts. The first part gives a general account of the students' studying evaluation and explains in detail the content, function, types and relative theories of the students' studying evaluation. The second part discusses the characteristics, significance and particularity of the students' studying evaluation of the course of Politics. The third part is to introspect the traditional students' studying evaluation of the course of Politics, to do some analysis of the existing problems. The fourth part is on the reform and exploration of the students' studying evaluation of the course of Politics. It is proposed that we should evaluate student's studying procedure with a developing point of view, thus we could put forward proper evaluation method and practical strategy.In a word, in Politics class, school evaluation is a process in which the main valuators including teachers and students, individuals and groups use different evaluation forms to assess the students' acquired knowledge, skills, abilities, feelings, attitudes and values, etc. Its radical purpose is to encourage the students' comprehensive and individual lifelong development.
