The research on what charactors Chinese 3th grade students can apply is a branch of the research program"Students'Achievement Analysis and Evaluation", which belongs to China education department.In every aspect of studying Chinese, character is the basic content student need to learn. Applying characters right is the basic skill of writing. Student need to know the structure of every character, and to build the conection with meaning. This condition increases the difficulty when students apply characters.In Chinese characters, there is a phenomenon increases the probability of wrong spellings, which is that one character has different voice and one voice has different characters. What psychological reason making wrong spellings is worth to research.The main content of the thesis is to make a research at the third grade pupils'writings. It focus on how much characters the pupils can apply in their writings, and the reasons why they make wrong spellings at the charaters, and the last part of the research is that how much and what kind of idioms pupils can apply in their writings.For solving the problem of how much characters pupils can apply in their writings, I make a statistics at the number, and then I make a list to show what kind of charaters they can apply in their writings, and explore the differences between the number and content of pupils'applying and the requirement of textbooks.In the part of the wrong spellings, I make a stastistic that the number of the number of wrong spellings in the students'writings, and I make a sheet to show what kind of wrong spellings in their writings. I analyze the features of these wrong spellings and explore the reasons why the pupils prefer to make these kinds of mistakes.In the part of idioms, I make a stastistic that the number of the idioms pupils can apply in their writings, and I make a sheet to show what idioms they can apply in their writings. I hope these sheets can give a use to the teachers and pupils.
