During the last decades in the 20th century, the rapid development of scientific technology has changed the world a lot. The development of mathematics as the basic of practice science, has developed a lot in this century, equal to several hundred years that passed, especially the widely used of mathematics. In order to take an active place in the international competition of the 21st century, most nations in the world put all their attention to teaching students with high quality of mathematics. It has become the common sense that we should pay more attention to the usage of mathematics when teaching.According to questionnaire and some interviews with teachers and students which are clarified in this paper, the writer puts forward her viewpoint that mathematics application consciousness should start from the teachers. The theory of the constructivism learning suggests that math education is a mathematical recognition structure constructing teaching process. The teacher should become a promoter, instructor and cooperator in the students' learning activities. Only the teacher's own application consciousness and ability are stronger, and have enough knowledge can bear this responsibility. This paper mainly from transforms teachers' notion and suggest that teachers should study mathematics modeling curriculum independently, research the new teaching methods initiatively, make mathematics modeling activities personally such as establish school's teaching research system and so on. At last this article analyzes the route of consciousness to the mathematics teachers of junior middle school and put forward some proposals.
